Gabby Holdsworth

I would describe myself as highly motivated, hard-working and a proactive person with a range of writing and communication experience. My interest in writing began when studying English Literature in sixth form, this then transformed my interest to the world of public relations when I completed an apprenticeship in Digital Media. I had the opportunity to work with companies to create and build up their profiles through social media and carrying out interviews. From this, I’ve had experience working in internal communications and as an intern for Morrisons PR team and Faith PR – a highly recognised agency in Brighouse. My passion for creating content and communicating with clients can be challenging but it’s also a worthwhile and an exciting opportunity. I am a keen learner and look to develop my skills which will allow me to create quality content for both online and offline uses.

I believe that one of my strongest skills is the way I speak and present myself to clients, whether that’s on the phone or in meetings. Another key strength, is my ability to alter my writing style, going from writing press releases to then switching to creating social media schedules.

The environment has always been a passion of mine, so with that in mind, my long-term aim would be to work within a business or charity that promotes an environmental cause that I care about. This would give me the opportunity to influence key stakeholders and public opinion by using different methods of communication and creating campaigns which I am extremely interested in. For the short term future, I look to further develop my skills and style of writing by pursuing an internship which will give me an insight into how different companies operate.
