I am a hardworking young professional currently in my second year studying for a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations at Leeds Beckett University. I gained an A* and two B grades in 2016 when I finished my school education at Budehaven Community School, after studying English Literature, Psychology, and Spanish. Spanish has been an interest of mine ever since I began to learn it at GCSE level, and this has inspired a love of Spain and Spanish culture. This has given me an intermediate competency at writing, speaking and comprehending the Spanish language, and has inspired me to want to live and work in Spain at some point in my career. I have completed a work experience placement at the Lawn Tennis Association, in which I developed strong verbal communication skills, strong organisational skills and also Microsoft Office abilities. I have also been a regular writer for an online sports website for a two-year period, in which I further strengthened my time management and writing skills, as this work allowed me to utilise my learnt theoretical skills in a professional business context, giving me applicable experience that I feel built upon the knowledge I have gained throughout my course. I have also developed strong teamwork abilities in my time at university through working on various group projects, and then reinforced this skill through my time spent working as a receptionist in which I collaborated successfully with different colleagues in order to complete work as efficiently as possible. My future aspirations involve working in the public relations sector of the sports or entertainment industry, which has been affirmed by recently gaining a year-long international PR and corporate relations placement with HBO.
