As a current international student from Oman studying Public Relations at Leeds Beckett University, I must admit that I have always passionate about business. I started my own retail market at home when I was seven. I was purchasing goods from the market with a cheap price and selling it at home with profit. Also, I convinced consumers to purchase goods they don't need. This passion grew with me along the years and I started to market phones and cars. I've sold two used cars so far with a solid profit in hand.
Just as well, I have had an interest in art and mathematics since childhood. I used to draw to structure my ideas before writing them. I also entered a couple of art exhibitions with a couple of my own artwork. I had to explain my work and convince the audience to purchase my special piece. Persuasion is one of the arts I learned throughout the years and I succeeded with my task. So, it was natural for me after completing my higher education to take up a career in business, marketing, and public relations.
With that in mind, I hope to see myself in the future working in a company back home, in Oman, where I may be able to apply me knowledge and skills to further its success. In doing so, I would be able to garner enough experience so that I may one day open up my own consultancy firm in the country. In fact, I hope to be a pioneer in the industry as I strive to be the best and build a reputation that would slowly help me expand my business throughout the Middle East.
In all honesty, while that may seem to be a bit too ambitious, I am not a person who believes in limits as I strive for nothing but the best in life.
